Picture of a giant Fukushima mutant dog has wowed social media

Picture of a giant Fukushima mutant dog has wowed social media.  According to various sources, the dog was bred in Japan using in-vitro techniques.  The gametic maternal cells were infused with Fukushima irradiated male DNA, then the eggs were grown in vitro.  The result of the experimentation resulted in the giant dog above, which Japanese scientists are calling 巨大な犬, which translates to Kyodaina inu or Inukyodaina, ‘giant dog’ in English.A message featuring an image of a gigantic dog is currently generating interest as it makes its way around Facebook. According to the message, the massive pooch is a mutant born of radiation taken from the stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant.  The circulating message links to a longer article published on Topekasnews.com.

Supposedly, the dog is the result of a scientific experiment in which maternal cells were infused with Fukushima irradiated male DNA and grown in-vitro.

However, not surprisingly, the claims in the message and article are utter nonsense. The dog is not a radiation produced giant mutant. In fact, it is not a real, living dog at all. The image depicts a sculpture by New York base artist Peter Coffin.  The work was part of the artist's Here & There exhibition at the  Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington DC.  The exhibition ran from June to October 2013.

A Washington Post article about the exhibition noted:
Some of Peter Coffin’s work is anything but subtle. The showstopper of the Hirshhorn exhibition is a lifelike sculpture of a giant Great Dane that seemingly floats one inch above the floor, thanks to hidden pins that support its massive bulk.
With the dimensions of a small horse, the oversize pooch boasts penetrating blue eyes and a glossy black pelt. Fabricated by a taxidermist, not Coffin, the sculpture is covered with pony hide stretched over a carved, dog-shaped armature. Just like a real animal, its coat must be brushed periodically to maintain its gorgeous sheen.
The dog’s visual impact is hard to overstate. Traffic jams form in the gallery from folks whipping out cellphone cameras, and the museum encourages visitors to upload their own snaps of the dog to its photo-sharing Web site.
Although it presents itself as a news site, Topekas News specializes in publishing fanciful nonsense. Giant creatures resulting from Fukushima radiation are seemingly a favourite topic for the site's fictional stories.

4 COBRA SNAKES PROTECTING A SLEEPING BABY

Cobra is one of the most venomous snakes in the world and one bite can be lethal if the cure is not delivered in due time. In this video which has gone viral, four snakes, one on each edge, stand stiff around a baby lying on a blanket with their hoods flared out to intimidate any threat that may approach.
 Scroll down to watch video...
The baby must be used to having the cobras around as she is seen wrapping her arms around one. Whether the baby was in any actual danger is under dispute as some have pointed out the fangs of these deadly serpents are often removed by cautious snake charmers thereby making them harmless. How would you react if you saw four cobras surrounding a baby?

Are nursing homes a safe place ? Watch this video !

A nursing home, convalescent home, skilled nursing facility (SNF), care home, rest home or intermediate care[1] provides a type of residential care. They are a place of residence for people who require continual nursing care and have significant deficiencies withactivities of daily living.[citation needed] Nursing aides and skilled nurses are usually available 24 hours a day.
Residents include the elderly and younger adults with physical or mental disabilities. Residents in a skilled nursing facility may also receive physical, occupational, and other rehabilitative therapies following an accident or illness. Some nursing homes assist people with special needs, such as Alzheimer patients.[2]

VIDEO: 'Captain Jack' interrupts NBC reporter Madison Brooks during live broadcast

When Los Angeles entertainment reporter Madison Brooks attempts to report live from Hollywood Boulevard to interview fans of "Breaking Bad," a special guest interrupts her live broadcast.

A man dressed in costume as Captain Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean" makes the creepiest video-bomb ever. At first glance, you see him appear into the frame just to the right of the frame. Then, Captain Jack sneaks up behind the reporter and sniffs her hair. The reporter is in complete shock. He says, "Hey what's your name, who are you?"

Captain Jack was pulled away from the reporter by someone standing just outside of the shot.

After the terrifying moment was over, Brooks, shaken up but professional, ends her segment by saying, "This is Madison Brooks reporting live from Hollywood Boulevard, back to you." Go home Captain Jack, you're drunk.

MIAMI POLICE OFFICERS CAUGHT ON CAMERA ALLEGEDLY IGNORING 911 CALLS

An entire Miami-Dade Police squad in Kendall has been disciplined -- several of the officers, fired -- after what CBS Miami reports is one of the worst dereliction of duty cases in the department's history.
One officer, Dario Socarras, was filmed drinking coffee for nine minutes while allegedly ignoring emergency dispatch orders on a call for an unconscious 5-month-old baby, Local10 reports.
His supervisor, Sgt. Jennifer Gonzalez, was sitting at the cafe with Socarras -- and was also recorded shopping while on duty at stores like Target and Lowes, brushing off work to rendezvous with her boyfriend, and visiting her parents in Cutler Ridge when she should have been on the job, according to CBS.
Socarras was also filmed twice kissing and spending time with a girlfriend in the parking lot of the Dadeland mall, allegedly while ignoring calls for armed robbery and burglary -- forcing officers from other units to respond from greater distances.
The squad was surveilled by Internal Affairs investigators, who used video cameras and GPS vehicle trackers to document what members were doing while they should have been responding to calls.
"We're talking about falsification of records, we're talking about stealing time that doesn't belong to you, because they are supposed to be available for service or duty and they're not,” said former Miami Police Chief Ken Harms.
Altogether, five officers and Sgt. Gonzalez were allegedly caught ignoring dispatch calls, according to media reports. NBC6 confirms Socarras, Gonzalez, and Officer Jose Huerta have been fired, according to MDPD internal affairs documents, and others have been disciplined.

Inca Girl Frozen For 500 Years

A 500-year-old frozen Incan mummy known as 'The Maiden' was suffering from a bacterial infection when she died - and being able to 'diagnose' the disease could lead to new insights into diseases of the past.
The discovery could help defend against new illnesses - or the re-emergence of diseases of the past.
The mummy was suffering from an illness similar to tuberculosis when she was sacrificed on the Argentinian volcano Llullaillaco, 22,100 feet above sea level.
The find - using a new technique of swabbing the lips and comparing the swabs with those of current patients - is the first time a disease has been 'diagnosed' in such an ancient body.
‘Pathogen detection in ancient tissues isn't new, but until now it's been impossible to say whether the infectious agent was latent or active,’ says Corthals.
‘Our technique opens a new door to solving some of history's biggest mysteries, such as the reasons why the flu of 1918 was so devastating. It will also enhance our understanding of our future's greatest threats, such as the emergence of new infectious agents or re-emergence of known infectious diseases.’
The analysis was possible because of the incredible preservation of the mummy, which is so well-preserved there were still lice in her hair.
The team swabbed the lips of two Andean Inca mummies, buried at 22,000-feet elevation and originally discovered in 1999, and compared the proteins they found to large databases of the human genome.
They found that the protein profile from the mummy of a 15-year old girl, called ‘The Maiden,’ was similar to that of chronic respiratory infection patients, and the analysis of the DNA showed the presence of probably pathogenic bacteria in the genus Mycobacterium, responsible for upper respiratory tract infections and tuberculosis.
In addition, X-rays of the lungs of the Maiden showed signs of lung infection at the time of death.
The mummies were found in 1999.
‘The doctors have been shaking their heads and saying they sure don't look 500 years old but as if they'd died a few weeks ago,’ said U.S. archaeologist and expedition member Johan Reinhard at the time.
‘And a chill went down my spine the first time I saw her hands because they look like those of a person who is alive.’
It's thought that the children were chosen by the Incas for their beauty and sacrificed in a ceremony called a capacocha.
‘The Incas didn't do this very often,’ according to Reinhard.
‘The sacrifices were children because they were considered to be the most pure.’
They were not sacrificed to feed or appease the gods but, rather, ‘to enter the realm of the gods and live in paradise with them. It was considered a great honour, a transition to a better life from which they would be expected to remain in contact with the community through shamans (holy men)’.
The Incas believed that by scaling the snow-topped heights of the mountains they could get closer to the heavens and communicate better with the gods.
Detecting diseases in ancient remains is often fraught with difficulty, especially because of contamination.
Techniques based on microbe DNA can easily be confused by environmental contamination, and they can only confirm that the pathogen was present, not that the person was infected, but the researchers behind the study, led by Angelique Corthals of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, found a way around this problem.
They used proteomics, focusing on protein rather than DNA remains, to profile immune system response from degraded samples taken from 500 year-old mummies.
Proteomics, DNA, and x-rays from another mummy found together with the Maiden did not show signs of respiratory infection.

'Our study is the first of its kind since rather than looking for the pathogen, which is notoriously difficult to do in historical samples, we are looking at the immune system protein profile of the ‘patient’, which more accurately tells us that there was indeed an infection at the time of death.’ or
‘Our study opens the door to solving many historical and current biomedical and forensic mysteries, from understanding why the plague of 1918 was so lethal, to finding out which pathogen is responsible for death in cases of multiple infections.’

Baby kicking and moving inside Pregnant Belly

When should I start to feel my baby move?
You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks, and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.

Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks – also known as "quickening" – earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kicks from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)
Your build may also have something to do with when you'll be able to tell a left jab from a hunger pang. Thinner women tend to feel movement earlier and more often than women who carry more weight.
What does it feel like?
Women have described the sensation as being like popcorn popping, a goldfish swimming around, or butterflies fluttering. You'll probably chalk up those first gentle taps or swishes in your belly to gas or hunger pains, but once you start feeling them more regularly, you'll recognize the difference. You're more likely to feel these early movements when you're sitting or lying quietly.
How often should I feel movements?
At first the kicks you notice will be few and far between. In fact, you may feel several movements one day and then none the next. Although your baby is moving and kicking regularly, many of his jerks and jolts aren't yet strong enough for you to feel. But later in the second trimester, those reassuring kicks will become stronger and more regular.
If you're tempted to compare notes with other pregnant women, don't worry if your experience differs from that of your friends. Every baby has his own pattern of activity. As long as there's no decrease in your baby's usual activity level, chances are he's doing just fine.
Do I need to keep track of the kicking?
Once you're feeling kicks regularly, pay attention to them and let your practitioner know right away if you notice a decrease in your baby's activity level. Less movement may signal a problem. You'll need a biophysical profile or a nonstress test plus an ultrasound measurement of amniotic fluid to check on your baby.
Once you're in your third trimester, some practitioners will recommend that you spend some time each day counting your baby's kicks. There are lots of different ways to do these "kick counts," so ask for specific instructions.

Here's one common approach: Choose a time of day when your baby tends to be active. (Ideally, you'll want to do the counts at roughly the same time each day.) Sit quietly or lie on your side so you won't get distracted. Time how long it takes for you to feel ten distinct movements – kicks, punches, and whole body movements all count. If you don't feel ten movements in two hours, stop counting and call your midwife or doctor.

LADY DEFECATE IN BUS STATION

It’s happened to us all. We are out somewhere, sitting in class, out with friends and having a good time, taking a stroll in the park with someone special… When all of a sudden you get that urge. That slightly painful sensation that makes your butt cheeks clench and your thighs slightly weak. That’s right, I’m talking about the urge to poop.
Where do you go? There’s a porta-potty down the street, there’s a fast food joint next store… Would you risk going in the school bathroom?
Believe it or not there are people who are deathly afraid of going poop in any public place. If you are one of them, you are not alone. But you should really get the hell over it. There is nothing worse than being in an social situation and having to poop and not being able to. It ruins your entire time at best – and fully embarrass you at worst.
You don’t have to be scared. Don’t be embarrassed – everybody poops. Everybody. From two girls in one cup to even the Pope having to take poops in the woods sometimes. So next time you are in that public place and feel the need to drop a few friends off at the pool – Remember to breath, squat, and let go of your pain. It’s not that bad – and unless you have no immune system nothing in there is going to hurt you.
To recap: Why I should not be afraid to poop in public places
  1. Everybody Poops
  2. Holding poops too long hurts
  3. Your time won’t be ruined because you didn’t poop
  4. You won’t soil yourself on accident
  5. You won’t die of some random illness you get from a public toilet.

Police officer shatters woman’s face in jail cell violence! (VIDEO)

SKOKIE VILLAGE, IL - A Chicago woman is suing the village of Skokie and one of its officers, alleging that she was injured after being pushed face-first into a jail cell bench after she was arrested for a DUI.

Photo Credit: Chicago Tribune via Torreya Hamilton
Cassandra Feuerstein said that the incident required her to get facial reconstructive surgery to replace the shattered bones.
The incident was caught on camera and shows precisely what she describes. Her attorney, who released the tape said, “The video speaks for itself,” Torreya Hamilton said. “She does nothing to justify what this male police officer does.”
Feuerstein had been arrested for drunk driving was remanded into custody, where she was asked to remove her boots and bra before processing. Then a police officer appears to take her by the arm and push her into the cell. She then falls and strikes her head and face on the bench, prompting blood to flow across the floor and requiring the assistance of paramedics.
“If this was a tavern fight, which of course it wasn’t, it’d be like she got sucker-punched,” her lawyer said.
The Cook County court is claiming that she was knowingly resisting, and was trying to refuse being placed in the cell. Feuerstein disputes that and claims that the officer made false statements about his violent behavior, causing other police officers to write false reports.
The officer is still a village employee.

BRITISH AIRWAYS STEWARDESSES FACING INVESTIGATION AFTER FILMING STRIP-TEASE VIDEO AND POSTING IT ON YOUTUBE

British Airways is searching for two stewardesses who apparently filmed themselves stripping off and washing each other in a video which was then posted online.

The clip has been seen by thousands of YouTube viewers amused by the pair's X-rated antics.
BA has launched an investigation into the footage in a bid to determine whether or not the two women are in fact employees of the airline.
The video shows two women in what appear to be BA uniforms, including name badges and distinctive patterned scarves.
It was recorded in a hotel bathroom during a stopover between flights, according to The Sun.
The women climb into a bathtub, turn the shower on and start rubbing each other with soap.
One then takes off her uniform, with the help of the other, as the pair's entics become even more explicit.
The eight-minute video has attracted more than 113,000 views since it was first posted on YouTube last year.
It is not entirely clear whether the women are genuinely BA stewardesses or are just wearing the airline's uniforms.
A spokesman for BA said the company was trying to identify the women and track them down.
'We're aware of the video,' he said. 'Investigations continue to establish their identity.'
YouTube users reacted positively to the footage, with one joking: 'Reminds me why I became a pilot.'

20 KG TUMOR ON THE MAN'S FACE

20 KG TUMOR ON THE MAN'S FACE

Huang’s parents first noticed signs of his illness when he was four years old. But it was not an operation to remove the tumor because the doctors believed that it was too dangerous for such a young boy. The tumor grew along with the organism. The ultimate changes in the appearance of the boy have occurred in his teens.
At the time when doctors from China Fuda Cancer Hospital decided to help, already adult man had a tumor weighing over 20 kg and hindering his normal functioning. Growing tumor completely deprived man of his teeth and the left eye. The most dangerous was the fact that a tumor grew in his throat. This resulted in huge difficulties in eating, speaking, but primarily in breathing. Huang’s condition was getting worse very fast. Before the elective surgery, doctors found that the disease started to attack the brain. For Huang’s the surgery was the last chance for normal life. The tumor was so big that the doctors feared complications such as weakened organs failure and multiple hemorrhages. Despite this, Huang and the doctors made a decision to remove the tumor. In the years 2007 – 2008 Huang Chuncai underwent three major operations of the tumor removal. The doctors managed to remove its the greater part which provided much better quality of life. Huang will have many more complex operations which will help him to find himself in the surrounding world.

SECURITY GUARD ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN AIRPORT

SECURITY GUARD ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN AIRPORT

Shane Hinkle, a 38-year-old Lexington Bluegrass Airport TSA manager, was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a female, airport employee yesterday afternoon. On two separate occasions, the female employee was sexually abused by the TSA manager. First on July 31st, and again on August 4th Both counts occurred at the airport, and the August 4th event was even on video. The female employee says that the SECURITY GUARD touched her breasts and put his hands down her pants. These types of events certainly happen in every place of employment. However, the TSA is unique because of its unconstitutional over-reach. One immediately wonders- if a TSA manager would do this to a fellow employee at the airport then God only knows what he has done to random travelers. You know- the kind that are vulnerable, non English speaking, praying just to get to their destinations without being detained and not knowing any better about the “procedures” being performed.
I just had my own run-in with the TSA this weekend. I was traveling from Nashville, TN to Niagara Falls, NY. I was chosen for a “random” pat-down. This isn’t the first time I’ve been so lucky. However, this pat-down was far more invasive than the one I had received last year while traveling to San Diego. This time, the agent literally put his hands down my pants and touched the top of my genitals. It made me wonder- Is there no actual concrete, procedural methodology used to conduct these pat-downs? If so, why are they so extremely varied from agent to agent?

MAN ARRESTED AFTER SLAPPING WOMEN'S BUTTS IN KENT BAR (VIDEO SLAPP)

Kent Police cited and released a man for investigation of assault after he allegedly walked around a bar all night slapping the butts of women as well as yelling and spitting in their faces.
The incident occurred at about 1:12 a.m. March 17 at Bourbon Jacks, 510 Washington Ave. N., according to the police report.
A witness told police the man had slapped the butts of numerous women, including his friend's butt. He also spit in the woman's hair and face. When officers arrived, they found the man walking outside near the nightclub's parking lot.
Officers reported that the man was belligerent, drunk and argued with police. The man had a cut finger from reportedly punching and breaking the plastic dome on a taxi parked outside the bar. Police said they didn't ask the man any questions about the incident because of his level of intoxication and aggressive demeanor.
In fact, officers had to secure the man's feet so he wouldn't kick at officers and medical personnel. Kent Fire Department medics treated the man for his cut finger and paramedics transported him to a hospital for stitches.
A friend of the man said he tried to get the man to go back to their hotel but the man physically resisted his efforts. The man also had pushed away a bar bouncer.
Reckless driving
Officers arrested a man for investigation of reckless driving after he reportedly tried to run down a woman along a sidewalk at about 12:40 a.m. March 16 in the 2700 block of South 258th Street.
Officers responded to a call about a fight among about 20 people outside of a duplex, an apparent dispute between a Hispanic family and a Samoan family, according to the police report.
A witness reported seeing a man get in a silver Mitsubishi and drive fast at people, and hitting a black Honda. A woman walking along a sidewalk was nearly hit before she ran into a nearby yard.
The man also jumped out of his car with a bat, but friends restrained him from going after others and took the bat away from him.
The man told police to give his wallet and cellphone to his wife. He didn't answer any questions from officers about the incident.
Obstruction
Police arrested a man for investigation of obstructing an officer after he allegedly refused several commands from police to sit down during a fight at about 1:42 a.m. March 17 outside of an apartment complex in the 20600 block of 108th Avenue Southeast.
Officers arrived to find about five men fighting and a witness pointed toward one man for causing the problems, according to the police report.
Officers commanded the man to sit down but he kept walking before eventually sitting down. Police noted the man seemed to be very intoxicated as he slurred his speech and smelled of intoxicants as well as had mood swings from hostile to cooperative.
The man told police he ignored the orders to sit because of a warrant he had out of Toppenish for no valid operators license. He said the fight started because one of his roommates tried to defend another individual over some kind of dispute.
Assault
Officers arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he reportedly slapped his girlfriend in the face in a vehicle at about 2:06 p.m. March 16 near Kent Des Moines Road and West Meeker Street.
The girlfriend told officers she got in a verbal argument with her boyfriend as she drove him to work and he slapped her face with his hand, according to the police report.
Police observed redness on the right side of the woman's face. The boyfriend told officers he didn't want to say anything to them about the incident.

DRAMATIC VIDEO: MONSTER TRUCK RUNS OVER PEOPEL AT AIR SHOW

A monster truck that drove off course and into an audience at a show in Mexico yesterday has killed 13 and injured more than 70.

The incident happened at the 'Extreme Aeroshow' in Chihuahua, Mexico yesterday. The monster truck was leaping over a pile of cars when the driver seemed to lose control of vehicle and it drove straight into the audience attempting to flee. Witnesses say they saw the truck driver lose control of the vehicle after hitting his head on the inside of the truck. 'The driver hit his head and his helmet flew off,' recalled spectator Daniel Dominguez, 18.
Dominguez's 11-year-old sister was taken into surgery for injuries to her legs, and his mother was also treated for minor contusions.

Six people were killed at the scene of the truck show Saturday, and another three people died receiving medical attention. Later, four more bodies were found under the monster truck's wheels. Marco Quezada, the mayor of Chihuahua, initially said 47 were injured but that number has grow to 70. The monster truck driver survived the incident and has been arrested. After the accident, the air show was cancelled. It was the second day of the three-day show.

Polar Bear Attacking A Women In Berlin Zoo (+18)

Polar Bear Attacking A Women In A Zoo

A polar bear attacked a woman at Berlin Zoo Friday afteroon after she climbed a fence and jumped into its habitat during feeding time, police said Saturday. One adult polar bit her several times after she plunged into the moat, police said. Zoo workers tossed rescue rings toward the woman to hoist her out and distract polar bears swimming nearby, said Goerg Gebhard, a Berlin police officer. At one point the woman fell back into the water and was grabbed by a bear before she was eventually hoisted to safety. "They saved her life," Gebhard told CNN.
The woman was severely injured and was being treated at a hospital, police said.

It's unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing. Berlin Zoo is home to Knut, the first polar bear to be born there in over 30 years. The bear became a huge talking point in Germany when his mother gave birth to him in December 2006.

AMPUTEE CREATES PROSTHETIC LEG WITH LEGO

AMPUTEE CREATES PROSTHETIC LEG WITH LEGO
ST. LOUIS, July 6 (UPI) -- A St. Louis amputee said she's had some fun with her situation, creating a prosthetic leg made of LEGO bricks -- and a video of it that has gone viral.
Christina Stephens' right leg amputated below the knee after a car she was working on slipped off the jack, crushing her foot. After doctors told her of the nerve damage suffered, Stephens said she researched the issue and opted to have her leg amputated.
Since the incident, Stephens -- who works at Washington University as a researcher helping people in wheelchairs gain functionality and operate their chairs without injuring their hands and arms -- has started an online campaign to help amputees adjust to their new lives. She started a Facebook page, Twitter account and YouTube channel for her "AmputeeOT" campaign.
NBC News said when a coworker made the off-handed suggestion she create a LEGO prosthetic, Stephens took up the challenge. Using tubs of the small bricks her mother collected for her as a child, Stephens said the leg took about 2 hours to build.
It isn't practically functional -- the foot falls off when she tries to walk -- but the symbolism has been a hit, with the video drawing 600,000 views and lots of praise.
"Most people get upset when they walk on a lego," one commenter wrote.
Stephens says she has plans for LEGO Leg 2.0, to reinforce the pylon portion with fiber glass and make it a fully functioning prosthetic.
"I'd probably have to stiffen the pylon part, reinforcing it with steel or carbon fiber or something," she said, adding that it would be "super fun" to wear it around town.

BOYFRIEND SAVED HIS GIRLFRIEND FROM A SUICIDE ATTEMPT IN CHINA

BOYFRIEND SAVED HIS GIRLFRIEND FROM A SUICIDE ATTEMPT IN CHINA

A young woman’s life was saved after her boyfriend caught her as she tried to take her own life by jumping off a balcony. The 20-year-old from Harbin, China had climbed out on the couple’s balcony after a fight with her partner and had crawled out onto a washing line, threatening to jump. Her quick-thinking boyfriend ran to the downstairs neighbours who let him hang out of their window to try and plead her down. Witnesses on the ground and other neighbours in the apartment block in the Daoli district of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, tried to reason with the distraught woman, begging her to climb back inside.
According to eyewitnesses, the thin clothing wire wobbled and the woman fell, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported. Fortunately, she was caught by her boyfriend, who held on to her until neighbours and firefighters arrived – despite her begging for him to let her go. Thanks to the neighbours holding on to the boyfriend, the young woman could be pulled to safety with the help of fire services.
